POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME

Modern stressful lifestyle and food-habits are very much linked and do contribute or accelerate many diseases, PCOS being one among them, it commonly is accompanied by conditions like obesity, menstrual irregularities which in turn lead to infertility. PCOD is majorly a metabolic disease, and hence diet and exercise play a huge role in managing it.  Over 60% of young women suffering from PCOD are overweight, and they often have higher levels of insulin in their blood therefore the diet that a physian advises them is what is important. It needs to be rich in fibre with no or limited carbohydrates and processed foods.
